Sefy's Complete DVD Backup Guide v2.6
Start! - Select the approach you want:

QuickTime (QT/MOV) is a standard created by Apple, this was a format which was most portable, since it was created by Apple and could be used on Macintosh and Windows. Today's it's mostly used to encode TV and Movie Trailers into a good quality and small files, below are examples on how to encode this standard into an MPEG Standard so you can then Author it to either VCD/SVCD/DVD to be playable by a standard DVD Player or Convert it to an AVI/DivX format.

Encoding to MPEG

All those programs support a QT/MOV file as a source for encoding, Operation is identical to how you would use AVI/D2V sources.
