I will be showing u to rip a DVD and encode it to a vcd mpeg file with the greatest audio possible.  

1st Step Ripping The Vobs
 
Now put your DVD in to your DVD-rom and start SmartRipper when it starts it will see if it can read all the files. If it cannot read all the files play the DVD in any software DVD player and this will the trick. It should look like this  

Now go to settings and click all of the settings as shown below after that click okay:  

After that u are ready to rip just select a place to put the vobs and press start:  


2nd Step Creating The d2v Project File:
Now open up DVD2AVI and open the vobs just select one and the rest will follow and press ok:  

Now go to audio and track number and select none like below we will be ripping the audio at another time:  

Now go to file a click on project save and select a name for the file and don’t close   the program yet until the saving is finished:
 


3rd Step Ripping The Audio
   
Now open Vob2Audio and click on the voblist and find the lst file that SmartRipper made a ms-dos window will pop up and wait for 3 minutes and close it and select your audiostream and click on target file and name the file we are going to create:  

Now click start and the encoding will begin this will take a about 7-10 minutes and it will be done and close the program and u will have a Dolby Surround Sound wave file:



5th Step Encoding All Of It To A VCD Mpeg file

Now open TMPGEnc and load my template select ntsc for region 1 and 2 and pal for 4 and 5:  

Now load the video source search for the d2v file and select that:                

Then load the audio and select the wav file then press open:  

Now after that go to Option->Enviormental setting->External Tool and check Layer 2 and browse for toolame.exe and select it..after that go to Sampling Frequency Convertor and check Use and browse for ssrc.exe and select that and press OK:
                                         

Now just press start and the movie will encode..This will take a long time so I suggest u do this before u go to sleep
                                 


After that go to mpeg tools and merge & cut put these settings type: mpeg 1 Video-CD and select a file name for the out coming file after that press edit:                                                
Now a window will pop up on the second box on top put half of the time of the movie and press okay and run:                                          

When it is finished go to edit and do the same thing but one the first box put half of the time of the movie and on the second put last and press ok than select a new name for the file and press run:  


Now let it finish and close the program and u have two perfect mpeg files ready to burn as a VCD….to burn go to HOW TO: AUTHOR and select what program u are using to burn
